1. PROMOTER

The promoter of the Ocean Queen Classic Big Air Competition ("Competition") is Woonona Boardriders Inc (ABN 96 615 140 289) ("Promoter").

2. COMPETITION PARTNERS

The Competition is proudly supported by Kinghorn Motor Group ("Competition Partner").

The Competition Partner may assist with the promotion of the Competition but are not responsible for the administration, judging or operation of the Competition.

3. ELIGIBILITY

a) Entry is open only to competitors officially registered to compete in the 2026 Ocean Queen Classic.

b) Entrants must be residents of New South Wales, Australia.

c) Directors, employees and immediate family members of the Promoter, Competition Partners and judging panel are not eligible to enter.

4. COMPETITION PERIOD

a) The Competition opens at 12:00am AEST on 6 June 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on 27 June 2026 ("Competition Period").

b) Entries submitted outside the Competition Period will not be considered.

5. HOW TO ENTER

To enter, competitors must:

a) Film and post a video of an aerial surfing manoeuvre performed during the Competition Period;

b) Publish the video to Instagram during the Competition Period;

c) Tag all of the following accounts in the post:

• @oceanqueenclassic

• @woononaboardriders

• @kinghornmotorgroup;

d) Include the hashtag #OQCBigAir in the caption

e) Maintain a public Instagram account until the winner(s) have been announced.

Multiple entries are permitted.

6. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

a) Footage must be filmed during the Competition Period. The Promoter reserves the right to reject any entry where it reasonably believes the footage was recorded outside the Competition Period or has been materially altered or manipulated. 

b) Footage must be original and owned by the entrant.

c) Entrants must hold all rights necessary to submit the footage and grant the licence set out in these Terms and Conditions.

d) Entrants must have permission from any person appearing in the footage.

e) Entries must not contain unlawful, offensive, defamatory or inappropriate content.

f) The Promoter reserves the right to request evidence of when footage was recorded including access to the original file and metadata. 

g) The Promoter may disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.

7. JUDGING

a) This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.

b) Entries will be assessed by a panel of three independent judges appointed by the Promoter.

c) Only aerial manoeuvres that are landed and ridden away cleanly will be eligible for judging.

d) Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:

• Amplitude

• Technical Execution

• Style and Control 

• Overall Impression

e) The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. PRIZE

a) The total prize pool is AUD $1,000 cash.

b) The Promoter reserves the right to award the prize pool as:

• one prize of $1,000; or

• multiple prizes totalling $1,000,

at the judges' discretion.

c) The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.

9. WINNER NOTIFICATION

a) Winner(s) will be announced via the Ocean Queen Classic Instagram account within 14 days of the Competition closing.

b) Winner(s) will also be contacted via Instagram direct message.

c) If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to the next highest-scoring eligible entry.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

a) Entrants retain ownership of their content.

b) By entering, entrants grant the Promoter and Competition Partners a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, repost, publish, communicate and promote submitted content across digital, social, print and promotional channels for purposes related to the Competition and future promotion of Ocean Queen Classic, Woonona Boardriders and associated events.

11. LIABILITY

a) To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered as a result of entering the Competition or accepting a prize.

b) The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected or inaccessible entries.

c) The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or breaches these Terms and Conditions.

12. PRIVACY

Any personal information collected in connection with the Competition will be used solely for the administration of the Competition and related promotional activities.

13. INSTAGRAM DISCLAIMER

This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram. By entering, entrants acknowledge that they are providing information to the Promoter and not to Instagram, and release Instagram from any responsibility relating to the Competition.
